We wanted to start this weeks bulletin with a huge ‘thank you’ to all the people who have joined us via twitter, facebook, linkedin and even directly through our website. For us its not about ‘collecting’ people and building numbers…for us its about having meaningful and engaging conversations with you about what we are doing and developing…and to also hear about you and all the great work being undertaken.
So many organisations and individuals are working tirelessly to support families going through one form of crisis or another. We find that by communicating with a cross section of sectors, we can better signpost and support those that need it.
We are always delighted when we get feedback to our work. One such testimonial is as follows:
“I am the Special Needs Co-Ordinator and Child Protection Officer at the above school. Recently I met Ms Fields when she was appointed to work with a difficult family assigned to Children’s Services.
In all her dealings with family members, the child and other professionals Ms Fields has been an outstanding example of professionalism. She has been an advocate for the child and quickly formed trusting relationships with both parents. The case was very difficult and I have to say, that if it was not for her involvement at times, things could have gone horribly wrong. Twice she came into school with the parents unexpectedly to resolve issues, often without a member of any other profession being there. She has been on hand twenty- four hours a day for this family to avoid a crisis. At times I sought her advice and she was always open and honest, offering support and advice when needed. Her personality means that she is likeable and very easy to get on.
Her summaries of situations are always correct and meaningful. I would welcome the chance to work with her again.”
